2022-10-24 Google’s spying

1) Newsletter from Marg Friesen with reminders of webinars this week including 5G: Undeniable Risk, on Tuesday, 3:30 pm PT.

2) Nick Pineault gives a succinct and very informative explanation of 5G and, really, EMF in general. He tries to clear up a confusion that many have — 5G and “5G”. One 5G is the frequency that is used by many devices, 5GHz. The other “5G” is the fifth generation of wireless technology. The difference is significant. 5G (generation) means more than use of millimeter waves, too. Nick explains this well in a very short article.

3) Beware of Google “smart” home products. We know that wireless devices are easily hacked, but this is beyond that. It sounds as if this invasion of privacy was built into, and was part of, the product. I wonder if other “smart” products do the same thing.

Texas sues Google over its use of facial images

“The complaint alleges that Google uses features in Google Assistant, Photos, and Nest smart-home products to collect and store voice- and facial-recognition data without the consent of users.

Google then uses the data for commercial purposes, like improving its AI algorithms.”
