2. “US Court Rejects Lawsuit From Dish, Environmental Group to Stop Starlink:
A US appeals court won’t reverse an FCC order allowing SpaceX to launch and operate 7,500 second-generation Starlink satellites.”
The environmental group is DarkSky, a nonprofit.
“Both parties joined forces to file a lawsuit…. Dish told the appeals court that the FCC essentially ignored evidence showing the second-generation Starlink satellites ‘will exceed the power flux-density limits’ and potentially create radio interference.
… court said the FCC didn’t need to consider Dish’s evidence, which the court categorized as company-sponsored analysis rather than ‘smoking gun’ evidence proving the interference risks.
…DarkSky… had demanded the FCC carry out an extensive environmental review… before receiving regulatory approval. DarkSky claimed the FCC had ‘failed to respond adequately to a report showing that SpaceX’s [second-generation] satellite system would cause significant atmospheric effects from rocket launches and reentry as well as light pollution from orbiting satellites.’
… judges ruled that the FCC had acted reasonably, citing how the agency used two studies from the European Space Agency to conclude that the Starlink satellites would have little impact on the Earth’s atmosphere.”

3. Internationally, regarding EMF exposures to nature and humankind.
The “International EMF Scientist Appeal” website was recently updated:
(a) “As of July 4, 2024, 266 EMF scientists from 44 nations and 15 Supporting Scientists from 11 nations have signed the Appeal.”
(b) The creation of the organization ICBE-EMF is briefly explained.
Whenever I provide a Resources or References list, it includes the International EMF Scientist Appeal
I include it for various reasons:
• it gives attention to exposures to both nature and humankind;
• it is provided in many languages;
• pertinent updates are posted;
• it provides summaries and press releases;
• it uses wording suitable for a wide range of readers (novice citizens to experts);
• it contains both introductory and complex elements;
• it is not only regarding 5G; and it is not only about RF;
• the homepage includes a short video, therefore it is multimedia.
If you know the fairytale Goldilocks and the Three Bears, for me. this Appeal is “just right” for almost any situation.
Warmly,
Barbara Payne, President
