3) This week Italy increased its RF exposure guidelines, as suggested by the author, to accommodate 5G and IoT devices. Even after this significant increase, it is still about 20% of Canada’s. This article is in Italian but a Google translation is available.

“Article 10 of law 243 of 2023 raises the limit from 6 volts/meter to 15 volts/meter (0.6 watts per square centimeter instead of 0.1) of the electric field produced by cell phones….
The limits have been increased in Italy to allow the spread of 5G technology designed to connect people and things to a single network, creating the so-called “IoT”, the internet of things.
It allows up to one million devices to be simultaneously connected across an area of 100 hectares, at speeds at least twenty times that of 4G.
The fundamental objective remains the connection of any type of device, from the simplest IoT sensor to the most complex robot, ultimately aiming at the improvement and extension of mobile broadband.”

Click on the box to read. Note: The power density levels are expressed as Watts/square meter. The 2012 BioInitiative Report recommended a maximum exposure limit of .000003-000006 W/m2. Canada’s Safety Code limit is lower than many other countries but we have evidence, for example with cell phones, that the limits are not enforced. With cell towers, for example, ISED does not do measurements but rather allows telecoms to self-monitor.
