2) We all know that wireless technology requires far more energy than wired, and as wireless technology proliferates, demand for energy will increase. One of the “benefits” of wireless for companies is that a great amount of data can be gathered, even from devices like smeters. This data is stored requiring energy-gulping data centres. Microgrids are looking far more significant for communities.
