1) Below in Letters is a “subtle” sales job about relinquishing the copper land line that is being sent to customers in Manitoba. At least Bell MTS didn’t threaten to cut the service if the person refused to convert, which is what some people in BC report being told.
A member told me something I hadn’t thought of:
“My mom has a Lifeline and it MUST integrate with a landline in order for the speaker to work. If there was no landline she would have to fall near her portable phone and actually answer it. They are not taking into consideration these and power failure situations.”
