2) Because science is complex and because many people don’t have the time or inclination to read source documents, the media often provides the only information the people see or read. Sadly, this means that biased or poorly researched articles can lead to consumers being misled about the products and services they buy, like wireless devices — and people will never know.

I shared the critique by Dr. Leszczynski in the Nov. 15 update. Here is an expansion on it by someone at RF Safe.

3) This is from EMFSA, a group in South Africa who shared this story to raise awareness about symptoms of brain cancer (glioma). This young man had worked for a tech company and, no doubt, was exposed to wireless radiation — probably both at work and at home. There is no mention of this as a potential cause in his story, but science has shown in many studies such exposure can cause/exacerbate such disease.

Alastair’s Story: Part One – Crossing a Threshold by Jo Porter

“In this four-part series, Ali Travis, who was diagnosed with a high-grade glioma at just 32, shares his beautifully written and, somehow, positive experience of coming to terms with his diagnosis”

4) In the Nov. 6 update [2) https://citizensforsafertech.ca/2023-11-06-cellphone-use-reduced-sperm/], I shared a report on a Swiss study re. cellphone use affecting sperm. https://www.eurekalert.org/news-releases/1006437                      Experts such as Dr. Lennart Hardell raise issues with the study softening the impact most likely for the telecoms’ sake.

Study Links Cellphone Use to Lower Sperm Count, but Authors Downplay Findings

“A Swiss study found high cellphone use was associated with reduced male fertility measures. But experts criticized the authors for speculating newer phones emit less radiation and for their ties to a group aligned with telecom industry interests.”

Subject:  re. Winnipeg REPORT OF THE STANDING POLICY COMMITTEE ON WATER, WASTE AND ENVIRONMENT DATED OCTOBER 30, 2023 Advanced Water Metering Solution Business Case

The vote regarding smart water meters is on the agenda for City of Winnipeg Council this Thursday, Nov. 23rd.

Anyone who wants to delegate (in person or via Zoom) and/or wants to make a written submission should register by Noon on Wednesday, Nov 22 (the sooner you register, the sooner your turn will be):

https://www.winnipeg.ca/city-governance/mayor-council/council-committee-meetings/participate-meeting

The item is:

REPORT OF THE STANDING POLICY COMMITTEE ON WATER, WASTE AND ENVIRONMENT DATED OCTOBER 30, 2023 Advanced Water Metering Solution Business Case

Non-Winnipegers can also speak or submit written comments.

For in-person or Zoom you will have 5 minutes – no slides, video or screen-sharing.

Suggested points:

– state that you are opposed to the passing of this motion

– ask for the Council to defer the vote until there is a full public consultation on this $ 135 million project which would include the opportunity to examine and comment on the Diameter Services report mentioned in the public service report. This is the report the public service will likely use to “guide” the implementation of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI – 2 way transmitters – note: one feature is that your water supply can be turned off remotely and is more vulnerable to hacking, etc.)

– the adverse health effects have not been studied by Health Canada although there have been many reports of harm from exposures to emissions from wireless smart meters

– that the Smart Water Renewal project is included on the City of Winnipeg Public Engagement website.

– any opt-out program must be at low or no-cost and

– there is no requirement such as a medical letter to opt-out.
