1) Bell Media wants to buy media companies that have “street furniture” at more than 50,000 locations across Canada. Owning these sites would facilitate placement of 5G transmitters close to homes, schools, and offices.

“But Winseck said there may be a larger motive by Bell “lurking in this deal” as the telecommunications company seeks to expand its footprint of 5G infrastructure.
He said 5G networks require thousands of small antennae to be placed in relatively close proximity to one another throughout service areas, which means companies need to be able to access key site locations such as street furniture and buildings.
“Companies deploying 5G … have to get permissions to access and locate their antennae on those things,” said Winseck.
“Is BCE really buying just an out-of-home ad business … or is it buying that and site locations that are essential to 5G in cities across Canada where Astral Media and Outfront Media have 50,000-plus sites? I think it’s the latter.”
2) Below in “Letters” is a notice from Marg Friesen for those living in Winnipeg re. an application before Council for water smeters which, apparently, is being rushed through without providing time for due diligence by the residents who will have wireless smeters in or on their homes.
3) Marc Arazi has been interviewed by a French journalist about the Phonegate scandal and that evidence shows that most (if not all) cellphones would be non-compliant if tested as used — close to the body. It is in French but you can activate the closed captions to read in English.

Hello people on my 5G Winnipeg Awareness list.

I have just learned that the Water, Waste and Environment Committee of the City of Winnipeg will be voting this coming Monday morning on a motion to approve $135,000,000 for smart water meters. These would be installed in homes – our homes.
There are many reports of people who have been made ill from smart meters installed on their homes (some for hydro and gas metering, as well as water). I have spoken and had email communication with many of them.

1. Delay the vote so the public (we) can have time to review the document. This is a big expenditure and Winnipeg residents have not had time to go over the contents in detail and check some of the statements and estimates. The capital cost is 135 million dollars – I thought the city was cash strapped … it says they will look for external funding .. I wonder about this too and this should be clarified before voting on this big ticket item.
