3) In the USA, people are continuing to fight for the right to not have radiation-emitting smeters on their homes, and utility customers in several states have won that fight already. This action is in Massachusetts where Cece Doucette is leading the way.
“There is a rift right now between the Senate and House in the Joint Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy. So each is going to hold its own hearing, now Sept. 20 (Senate) and 21 (House). Senator Michael Moore’s S.2152 An Act relative to smart meters is on both agendas. This bill ensures a no-fee opt-out from toxic smart meters.”
My Turn: Stand up to ‘smart’ meters
“… there is no one currently verifying the exposure you are experiencing right now is safe because the agency that is supposed to update its guidelines in light of evolving research has been “captured” by the industry it is supposed to regulate, according to a Harvard Ethics report.

The above is particularly poignant this week as the Legislature’s Joint Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy is deliberating S. 2152, “An Act Relative to Smart Meters,” which would allow Massachusetts consumers to choose an analog electric meter without paying a monthly fee. By “analog,” I mean a meter that does not emit wireless radiation into your house and toward the street.”
