1) Parents are concerned about the many cell transmitters on or near schools and raised the issue with Councillors, only to learn that many of the towers have long-term contracts (50 years) with no termination clauses. Most likely there will be lawsuits and I will share anything I learn.

Detroit’s proliferation of school cellphone towers prompt study request
“The concerns about cellphone towers on school property have spread from Wyandotte to Detroit, where parents in Michigan’s largest city are expressing their worries and the City Council has asked the health department to do a study…
These safety concerns prompted the Detroit City Council in May to approve a resolution by Councilwoman Mary Waters that asked the Detroit Health Department to assess the health impact of cellphone towers on the city’s school children.”
2) The push by the telecoms and their political pals in the California is for a Bill to allow them to overwhelm communities with applications which will result in elimination of oversight and public involvement. The wireless industry’s efforts to enable faster proliferation might be due to the increased knowledge about and success of fibre optic networks. Dr. Cindy Russell of Physicians for Safe Technology has written a terrific letter which details how wired is so much better than wireless. There are great references and statements that could be quoted to bureaucrats in Canada.

“AB 965 is another shortsighted telecom bill which will override local government control in the placement of cell towers by fast tracking batch permits of 25-50 or more cell towers, deeming them approved even if not approved by the local agency within the shot clock. This is an outrageous bill that will place further burdens on local governments, waste resources, accelerate climate change, lower property values, increase fire risk, create continuing liability and costs to the state.
We believe you need to rethink the best strategy for broadband connection in all communities that is fairly distributed, safe, cybersecure, energy wise and economically viable. Fiberoptic to the premises (FTTP) is the superior solution. Subsidizing fiberoptic/cabled broadband for underserved communities and giving local governments control will help them economically in the long run as well as provide safe broadband to insure the health and well-being of their communities, citizens and the environment. Fiberoptic is the smart vision. Please step away from the rapid and reckless deployment of cell towers.”
3) A member sent this. I have never measured wireless ear pods, but he did. If anyone else has, it would be useful to confirm the levels. Anything that shoots wireless radiation into and through a head can’t be good.
“A friend of mine came by the other day with wireless ear pods in his ears. After I asked him why he was wearing ‘cancer accelerators’ I insisted on testing them with my Safe & Sound meter. They topped out at just over 8,000 microwatts per sq. meter. (like having a cell tower in your ears, said I!) He was aghast and has decided to destroy them as he couldn’t conscientiously sell them to some other unsuspecting victim….”
