1) From Dr. Marc Arazi who continues to push the EU authorities to remove non-compliant cellphones from the marketplace. French authorities have been more responsive to Dr. Arazi’s efforts than other countries, banning some and penalizing other manufacturers. Even if the cellphones meet the SAR limit of 2.0W/kg (the limit France), they are not safe. But, like ISED and Health Canada, many EU countries have allowed cell phones with emissions that exceed SAR multiple times, to continue to be sold and used. This letter was sent (with the covering letter which is below in “Letters”) by Phonegate, partnering with Europeans for Safe Connections, to all the EU authorities.
Complaint about 42 wireless devices exceeding permitted levels of radiation and for immediate registration in (RAPEX – Safety Gate) and in ICSMS
Here is information about the JAHARP 2020 study mentioned in the letter.
“From May 2021 to May 2023, in total 29 Market Surveillance Authorities (MSAs) from 22 European Member States will cooperate in three individual Actions (JAHARP2020-1, JAHARP2020-2, JAHARP2020-3) with the aim of keeping non-compliant and dangerous products outside of the European Single Market, supporting the application of Regulation (EU) 2019/1020, and increasing the skills and knowledge of the European MSAs….

2) A very interesting find by a member. It is a letter dated 2014 from the US Dept of the Interior to the National Telecommunications section of Commerce Dept. It identifies problems and threats that cell towers pose to birds, especially migratory birds, as well as other wildlife. As far as we know, nothing of significance has changed since 2014, and I would guess that this is not the first warning that was written.
“The Department recommends revisions to the proposed procedures to better reflect the impacts to resources under our jurisdiction from communication towers. The placement and operation of communication towers, including un-guyed, unlit, monopole or lattice-designed structures, impact protected migratory birds in two significant ways. The first is by injury, crippling loss, and death from collisions with towers and their supporting guy-wire infrastructure, where present. The second significant issue associated with communication towers involves impacts from non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation emitted by them (See Attachment)”….
From the appendix, Enclosure A
“Given the findings of the studies mentioned above, field studies should be conducted in North America to validate potential impacts of communication tower radiation both direct and indirect – to migratory birds and other trust wildlife species.”

Letters:
Dear Madam, Sir,
We are contacting you because non-compliant wireless devices are being sold on the European market, endangering the health of consumers and violating European and national regulations. Since 2018, under pressure from Phonegate Alert actions, the French national agency ANFR has continuously detected more and more wireless devices that violate legislation and endanger the consumers’ health. Our diligent questioning of national authorities responsible for consumer health protection has revealed that these dangerous products are present on the entire European market. We are asking for your cooperation in resolving this matter or for the immediate registration of these unsafe products in the International Rapid Alert System for Non-Food Products (RAPEX – Safety Gate) and in the Information and Communication System for Market Surveillance (ICSMS) so that these products are removed from the EU market without any further delay.
Please, read the attached letter of complaint for more explanation. [see item 1) above for letter]
Thank you for your reply and for your cooperation in resolving this issue.
Best regards,
Kamil Bartošák, Board member of Europeans for Safe Connections
Jean-Paul Huard, General Secretary of PhoneGate Alert
