1) A very interesting interview of Dr. Don Maisch in which he discusses health risks associated with electro-magnetic fields. ICNIRP standard is protective against immediate health risk e.g. shocks – similar to guidelines for RF health effects of heating. At about the 40 min. point he discusses problems in building design that apply to homes as well as commercial buldings, one of which is electrolysis that can result in heavy metal being found in drinking water from the corrosion. One important point he states over and over — sleep can be affected by EMF. Many experts recommend turning off electricity in the bedroom and the rooms adjacent to the bedroom, if possible, at the circuit breaker box since otherwise EMF is being emitted by the wires in the walls.

2) Having an “industry friendly” consultant resulted in a City Council in Massachusetts sneaking amendments to bylaws that allow cellular transmitters to be installed as close as 20 ft from driveways, schools, etc. The residents were made to believe that the changes were more protective than FCC guidelines. Councils must be informed and watched — oversight is vital because the industry plays dirty. Some excellent ideas to consider re. fighting cell towers.
