2019-12-09 Insurers in Canada failing to report fire hazards

1) Part of the conclusion I reached in my report on smeter fires was that the insurance companies are not reporting fires to any authority. Neither are they warning the public/their customers that there are dangerous devices on their homes. Insurance companies have a subrogation clause in their policies which allows them to sue for repayment of claims paid out if they believe that a third party caused the problem for which the claim was paid.

With regard to smeters, the insurers can sue BC Hydro or ITRON, or both, for recovery of claims paid. The customer who suffered loss is not told of this recovery but faces payment of the deductible and increased premiums. The insurer is out nothing, but their customer is. So there is no reason for the insurer to report these fires and, apparently, there is no agency requiring them to do so. I say this because of this article re. automobile fires. Same thing. Same lack of oversight or regulations to protect us.

I tried to obtain information from the agency responsible for insurance companies — in BC, the Financial Institution Commission and federally, the Superintendent of Financial Institutions but neither accepted any responsibility. I was told to contact my insurance company. If there is no agency tracking smeter fires, and there isn’t, it is easy for utility companies and the smeter manufacturers to say there have been no fires.

Lax regulations mean automakers can ‘bury’ reports of vehicle fires, says advocate

“Transport Canada is the federal government department responsible for vehicle safety. Manufacturers are not obligated to report incidents involving vehicles they manufacture. . However, they are required to inform the department and the vehicle owner “when they become aware of a defect that may affect the safe operation of a motor vehicle.”

George Iny with the Automobile Protection Association (APA), a national consumer advocacy organization, is worried some automakers make consumer complaints “disappear” by not logging them. He said this keeps the manufacturer blind to patterns that would reveal safety risks they’re required to address…

In other cases brought to the APA’s attention, Iny said insurance companies conclude the claim is related to a vehicle defect, but settle out of court with the automaker confidentially, meaning the insurance company collects their money from the manufacturer, but doesn’t report it to Transport Canada.”

2) A member sent in this article about “smart” devices capturing data you might not want to share. And as more and more things become connected to the internet via smeters and the 5G grid, we will be more vulnerable.

FBI warning: protect yourself from your new smart TV

“More and more televisions and many other devices and appliances are now equipped with microphones and/or cameras, capturing enormous amounts of information about the minutiae in people’s lives in exchange for the convenience afforded by these devices….

“We’re just now starting to appreciate that these devices first of all, capture a lot more – and a lot more information from the environment – than the device makers originally told us,” said York University assistant professor Natasha Tusikov, noting that information is often stored for much longer and shared with more third parties than people realize.”

3) A site that is filled with excellent information and references. What a lot of info is available in this site and the many other great ones out there — and yet we have to fight to convince people that microwave radiation is dangerous.

Wireless communications technologies are violent and life-threatening.

“Wi-tech requires that the human environment be contaminated and saturated–both indoors and outdoors– with a confirmed human carcinogen just as deadly as asbestos fibers, tobacco smoke and radioactive fallout.

Wireless technologies –and millions of environmental microwave antennas that support them– produce the VOLTAGE OF CANCER. This voltage can be measured by microwave detection equipment as a mechanical wave force.”

4) A city in Greece, the first one to implement 5G, cancels the 5G pilot project that was to be renewed this month for fear of health effects, especially infertility which has become a significant concern.

Kalamata City suspends 5G network fearing locals will become infertile!

“The City Council of Kalamata decided to suspend the pilot program of 5G network fearing possible negative effects on citizens’ health. In fact, it was a group of citizens who protested the advanced wireless technology speaking of “the experiment 5G” in their city and forced the elected local authorities to suspend the program….

“Our country has been in a state of infertility for some years now, and at the same time there is a huge influx of immigrants. In this dramatic context, and based on international literature, the application of high levels of radiation will be able to ‘sterilize’ the Kalamata citizen, apart from the other adverse effects on health, will give a shocking blow effect to our city, thus contributing to the overall demographic problem of Greece.”

The letter concludes with a call to city councilors: “Today you have a historic opportunity to preserve public health in your area, the quality of life of the Kalamata citizen, and even more importantly the viability of the next generation, but perhaps a generation that may be never be born due to the 5G.”

Kalamata is the first city in Greece to implement the 5G. The contract is expiring on 31. December 2019.”
